Long-term Research Fellowship
The ESPE Research Fellowship programme awards grants to the
most talented young scientists and paediatric endocrinologists to
conduct research worldwide at leading centres of excellence.
Sponsored by Novo Nordisk A/S, the programme provides up to 2 years
of financial support and has helped launch powerful careers in leading-edge
research and clinical work. Scientists and paediatric endocrinologists awarded
the fellowship gain vast exposure beyond their current network of colleagues and peers.

For 16 years, the programme has launched the careers of scientists and clinicians from a wide range of specialties. To date, a total of 35 fellows from 13 countries have traveled abroad to pursue 2-year research projects. One third of grant recipients have studied in the United States; one third have studied in the United Kingdom and Canada; and the remaining one third selected centres of excellence in France, Holland, Germany, and New Zealand.

Short-term Research Fellowship
The ESPE short-term Research Fellowship supports candidates in Eastern Europe for 2— to 6-month research projects at a host institution of excellence in Western Europe.

Filling out the form
On the first page of the form, place your cursor in the first blank field, which is captioned “Title of Proposed Research Project,” and type in the information required. Use the tab key to advance to the next field. Fill in all blank fields as required, using the tab key to advance the cursor. Application navigation instructions are listed in a left-hand column on each page throughout the application.

Submitting a completed application
Once you have completed filling in the entire application and are ready to submit it, please return to the first page of the form and click on the “submit application” button.

Please note that the use of a password allows users to complete the application process on their own time by allowing applicants to return to where they left off. This feature allows applicants to compose the narrative sections in word processing programs and complete necessary edits in those programs. Login requirements also help provide data integrity by ensuring that only applicants have access to their applications.
